FAQ’s:
Do I need to upgrade my panel?
That’s possible. If you have 100amps you’ll need at least 150-200 amps.
Can the charger be installed outdoors?
Only certain manufacturers such as Nema3R enclosure is rated to be installed outdoors.
Why install an EV Charger in my home?
Convenience! As electric vehicles become the industry standard, it will be more economic (i.e. cheaper) to charge at home than at a charging station. A 220v charger will charge in 8-10 hours vs 110v charger which will take 2 days and cost much more.

Before every installation ADK Maintenance & Electrical Contracting LLC will complete a load calculation of your electrical system to ensure a safe and professional installation. ADK Maintenance & Electrical Contracting LLC can install your Level 1 or Level 2 EV Car Charger as well as a 50 Amp Outlet for your cars Mobile Connector cord.
Charging Stations:
Level 1 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations are the small mobile chargers that come with the car when you purchase it at the dealership. They require a dedicated 120 volt circuit and the charging times can take up to 30 hours to fully charge your electric vehicle.
Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations will charge your vehicle much faster. A Level 2 residential home charging station, also called Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), is powered by a 240 volt dedicated circuit from your electric panel. Charging times will vary from 2 to 8 hours, depending on which Electric Vehicle and type of charger you use.
A 50 Amp Receptacle will allow you to charge your car using the 50 Amp Mobile Connector cord that comes with many new EV’s.
